"Wa3i" Initiative for Safe Internet Use

"Wa3i" Initiative for Safe Internet Use
To mark its Silver Jubilee (25 years) of community development, our association launched the "Wa3i" Initiative. This program aims to raise awareness among children, youth, and parents about the importance and methods of safe internet use.
The initiative was implemented in collaboration with the Luxor Directorate of Education, the Al-Toud Educational Administration, and the Luxor Media Complex. Our Technology Club's training team developed the content, which was reviewed and approved by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Helmy, Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Technology at the Faculty of Specific Education, South Valley University.
Initiative Goals
Raise awareness among teachers on how to guide students in schools, ensuring they use the internet safely for their studies. This includes directing them to useful and secure websites, while also informing them about potential risks and harms.
Teach primary and middle school students how to protect themselves online. The training also covers the dangers and potential harms they may face from incorrect internet usage.
Introduce high school students to new concepts and terminology in information technology and the internet. We also show them various online services they can use to their benefit.
